Brooklyn-based Catori works with sound both electronically and acoustically. Her performance style ranges from organic deep house to ambient meditation soundscapes. With childhood influences ranging from Latin, Rock, Reggae, and everything in-between, to her classical training in voice and violin, she draws inspiration from her rich cultural upbringing and international exploration to manifest stunning soundscapes always perfectly suited for the environment in her DJ sets and live performances. Currently focusing her creative output in the studio, Catori hopes to release her debut EP this summer.

Over the years, Catori has found homes within the Bespoke Musik, PYNK & Alborz communities, and has been on the lineups for Minus Zero Festival, Elements Music and Arts Festival, Sonic Jungle, ZERO, Authentica, and has frequented Alborz, Bubbles and Bass, and Trifucta camps at Burning Man. She's shared the stage with talents such as Bonobo, Acid Pauli, Mira, Goldcap, Nico Stojan, Kora, and Brian Cid to name a few.

Harmonic overtone emitting instruments…

…when used intentionally, have the ability to drop the brain into a theta wave state. In this state we're able to access some of the deepest parts of our psyche. With attention and intention, participants have the ability to utilize this experience as a tool to quiet the mind, deal with insomnia, work with depression, expand consciousness, increase attention and awareness, and also simply to explore one's self. This work involves my collection of hand-hammered antique and contemporary singing bowls in addition to other harmonic overtone emitting instruments.
